Representing & Remembering Place

This project explores methods for representing and remembering place through a process known as 'deep mapping'. My methods focused on re-purposing technical methods such as quatrat analysis and cartography as a way to deterritorialize and reterritorialize site through a process of capturing, eroding, remapping and renaming.

The maps and journal presented below form an atlas of my deep mapping undertaken at Dight's Falls, Melbourne, Australia.
